hopefully i got better luck this time, although i wont have anything longer then 135mm but it would still be fun

Can someone recommend a GOOD Motel (business level at least), in the general area? Clean sheets and some peace & quiet is all we are looking for.

Wow....hard to keep up with all of the frantic activity on this thread.

Yup we are in for sure. Stay Friday night and leave Sunday. Weather permitting.

Neil....you will be surprised how many shots fall within that range.

I'll drag along a 100-400 in case anyone feels the need to use it.

I'm in. Can't wait to meet everyone. Everytime I talk to my friends about photography, their eyes glaze over. It will be nice to talk to someone who understands. I'll keep checking back for details.

my neighbor is a Canonite like us, and he and his wife are 90% in. By my count, that's at least 10 primary, not including SOs

70-200 (with 1.4tc) is pretty good for brookfield zoo but the 100-400 is probably better.

The usual procedure for Chicago POTN gatherings is to wear orange and blue. Your choice whether to be a Bears fan or an Illini fan for the day.

not quite the same crowd as other events, but 9 people said yes, and 2 no. I've never been there, so if someone else could step up and play ringleader for the beginning of the event, that would be great.
