Just a shot with 40D, 300mm of the moon.

was this cropped? I'm getting the 70-200mm and I wanna get the idea of the proportion of the moon in the frame...

little crop less then 5% with 40D and 300mm.

Just try some different settings to get proper exposure.
I used 1/320s to get proper exposure for the moon.

PP is very little. Conversion from Raw to Jpeg, levels and thats it.

Oh, another moon shot. The only thing thats photographed more than the moon is Paris Hilton. At least this one has some clouds to make it interesting. Hmmm..perhaps they should photograph Paris with clouds to make her more interesting.

Why bother posting anything at all? Some of us have never shot the moon before and to be able to accomplish that feat is exciting.

less than 5% crop? that can't be right, this is a full sized photo on 300mm lens (1.6x crop factor)

Nope it is right 5%. The moon was low and big...You need to pic your proper time.
