Default Ichneumon Wasp series 2

Hi all
After a couple of hours waiting by the Banana tree, another Ichneumon wasp finally turned up.
So I snapped a few more pics.

This one has a springtail in the pic also, it was quite funny as the ichneumon wasp was standing quietly minding its own business until the springtail came up and touched one of the wasps legs, kind of like the elephant and mouse stories.

Anyway thanks for looking and comments appreciated

Thank you Brian.
This shot was one of the last few in the series as the wasp had moved to the underside of the banana tree leaf, So I was laying on my back, struggling to get focus as the sun was already set and the light levels were dropping fast.
Then when I looked at the images on the computer, I thought I wonder what it would look like if I cropped this one trying different compositions.
I like the way it came out.

I have a few more of these even some head on, I'll post a couple more in a little while maybe in another thread Series 3.

Yeah it does pay to wait but I have the mosquito bites to show for it now though and boy do they itch.

All are quite good, I think. The yellow background really compliments the wasp.

Thanks Ken
I don't know if I really like the yellow back ground, The series one pics with the healthy green leaf contrasts better I think and gives a better location to take an exposure reading from.
But thank you for viewing and commenting.

Thanks for the comments, The unfortunate thing is the IQ is lacking just a little bit as it is cropped from the original, but I'll take what I can get from my choice of lenses right now.
these were taken with the 50mm direct reversed to camera body, however the 28mm reversed gets me closer to the bugs but the trade off is the Focusing distance is so short and the Depth of Field is shallower.
So I'm sticking with the 50mm for the time being.
