I love my G1 -- but not the cheesy neck strap that dangles the camera from just one side. Has anyone found a way to install a second eyelet and a proper SLR neckstrap that holds both sides of the camera? Or some other solution?
Canon's one-eyelet-only G1 strap lets the camera swing around when I walk. I find it too short for picture taking if I leave it on my neck -- especially when composing in the LCD display instead of the optical viewfinder -- but too long to use as a wrist strap. A Canon PSC-1000 form fit G1 camera case is a good solution. Not only will it protect your camera, but allows you to attach a real strap with two attachment points. I am using my old 35MM SLR strap. I purchased my case at eppersonphoto.com. BTW, it will not accept the camera with adapters on (slight drawback) and fully close the case.
