I'm wondering is there any other tripods that equal to the Gitzo GT3530s at a cheaper price?

Feisol has a Systematic clone albeit a 4 series instead of a 3 series (which is probably a good thing from an overall comparison standpoint). They have gotten great reviews and are half the cost of the Gitzo. www.feisol.com

Thanks for the replies. My purpose for asking is I want a tripod to be more than strong enough for a 600mm prime and accessories yet light to boot. I don't have a problem paying the price for a Gitzo but if I can get equal or better cheaper why not save the cash.

The legs will probably be more stable and dampen better on the Feisol (36mm versus 32mm, Feisol to Gitzo). The yolk and other metal parts that make up the yoke are injection molded in the Feisol and gravity molded in the Gitzo (a Gitzo marketing point) and this difference raises the risk of air bubbles in casting that could weaken parts. I have read of some Feisol's top plate clamps breaking and this might have been the reason. At the same time, they may have tightened them too much. The Feisol is a series or two behind Gitzo current leg set as to features. There is no ALR or G-Lock or better dust/weather sealing. Service is ship back to Taiwan for Feisol (I think). Probably US through Manfrotto for Gitzo. And lifetime warranty for Gitzo, year or two for Feisol. Lots of folks across the experience board use both with the long lenses so choice is up to you.
