Default Business fire. Night + First time.

All these were taken with my S3is. And the ones that could have got me landed in jail ( details in another post ).

Yeah, stay out of the way of Police officers and firemen (only j/k)

They look good, can't think why they would want to stop you taking them!

Your photos do tell a story. I don't understand why you got hassled though, it is clear that you weren't in their way at all.

By the way, great photos. Tripod, I assume?

If you've got the time and patience, try a few at ISO 100 and stopped down, to get a nice long exposure time. I've had a tripod shot like that where I walked straight through the frame. Also, experiment with some bracketing, to see if maybe there's some magic with an under- or over-exposed shot.

If you have flash, be sure to use it in Av or Tv mode, and consider dialing in some - flash fill. You'll catch the reflective striping on the trucks, but won't expose _just_ for that, so the trucks will have a cool 'pop' to them.

I did use a tripod and did try different iso and 1st and 2nd curtain options.
In all i took around 75 pictures.
Different modes and that i do say that AV mode gave me the best results.
No for flash i tried with and with out and flash did nothing. ( go built in flash right )
#4 was with flash
