Yeah Butler was awarded not one but two Medals of Honor. He was a true American hero.

Ahh, glad I saw this, last Night I was at the local watering hole for a nice pub meal, and a few drafts.
There was a large contingent of Marines at the bar, celebrating, and even singing on occasion.
My assumption was it had to do with Veterans/Armistice day,. but I see I was likely mistaken.
