In that case I stand corrected, I have never seen it myself in Europe and I cannot comment about Asia.
I have been on the other end so to speak, over Donna Nook doing just that!

Yeah, look at the SU-27s and MiG-29s at airshows...they are flair happy

Some fantastic work being shown here .
Just to clarify my flare shots , they were taken at a bombing range, RAF Donna Nook on the east coast.
i was outside the range for the shots as your not alowed on it when fireing is on, but i was only 20yds outside

When I was on the USS Ronald Reagan this past Sunday, a Seahawk did a mock delivery of a SEAL team on the deck and as it left, they fired off their flares. I wasn't paying attention to the bird, but taking shots of the team "clearing" the deck, so I missed getting a good shot of it. But, we were out at sea... nothing to set a fire out there!

Oh boy, these are fantastic.

I'm subscribing to this to keep up to date. I'll check to see if I have three I consider worth sharing (Who am I kidding - I've got some - not the greatest but I'd love to share them later )
