Default ... and I thought B&H overpackaged stuff.

The singular 250w modeling bulb from Paul C. Buff and the packaging it came in.

Ever see the minimum box size from Canon? I recently got the manual for the 24mm tilt shift. A manual, mind you. it came in a box somewhere in size between the two you show there. They could have put it in an envelope for goodness sake.

me

It is. And I'm too late smart. Buff charges $20 for those things. I googled and found similar bulbs for less than $5.

Silly me.

I once received some replacement parts for a Christmas decoration, all of which could have fit into an egg carton. The parts were wrapped in bubble wrap, placed in a cardboard box about the size of a shoe box, with a couple of air pillows filling up the gaps, then that box was put inside a box about 3' x 3' x 3', completely filled with peanuts. I don't even think that the parts were breakable, they had just been missing from my original order.

It is probably cheaper to overpackage it than replace it. But still, that is a bit of an overkill.

I love the "FRAGILE" warning on the biggest box, lol.

(at least I assume that is what it originally said)

I ordered a compact flash card from Ebuyer a couple of years back.

It arrived in a box 24" x 24 x 12" full of those air pocket fillers. The CF card was taped to the bottom of the box.
