Some great classic cars can be seen almost daily in the Detroit suburbs. Three days a week they meet within 6 miles of where I live at bowling alleys, restaurants, and shopping malls. There's always raffles & live music or a 'Classic' D.J.
Here's a really clean '55 Chevy from Thursday nite. The old saying, "If it won't go, chrome it" doesn't apply here! And here's a cleaned up version. 300D,Kit lens,ISO 100, RAW, Manual everything. .2 sec, f-11 ![]() .3 sec, f-11 ![]() .3 sec, f-11 ![]()

Great shots!
I love the deep luster of the paint job on this car. Only thing that miffes me a bit are the rear tires ... I prefer cars in their original condiiton. Must be some fun when accelarating from a stop sign, however Best regards, Andy |

Nice shots Frank. I'd guess he's had that at the dragstrip a few times. He certainly must have it tubbed to fit those slicks in there

I guess what I'm trying to say here, is that to some of us, this IS original condition. Well, kinda anyway. Oh, Frank, did I mention what a GREAT job you did of portraying this magnificent piece of machinery? ........Bruce |

This is one of my favorites, too. I didn't get a chance to talk to the owner, & I'm going to try to 'catch' him Tuesday nite at the end of the season at Pampas Lanes.
Thanks for all the comments, everyone! More coming...

Nice pictures, this car is definitely ran hard, you can see the roll cage in the photos. You have to love the shoebox Chevy's.

Thank's again, guys. It's nice to hear the stories that these cars bring out - probably why the cars are so popular in the first place! (When you see some of them, like a stock Pacer for Pete's sake, you just have to know that that's the car that he got his first... in!)
I especially like the powder coated bumpers, & thought they added just the right accent to the great paint job. The hood was never opened on this one, in fact I didn't see the owner all night. I'll try to get some details for you next week.
