Default More parasitoid wasps

More pics of tiny parasitoid wasps- all between 1 and 2 mm body length. Still finding these tiny wasps in the cooler weather.

Another nice series of these very small wasps Brian. #1 looks like a very shallow DOF, I presume deliberate?

Thanks for looking and commenting Alistair and Dave

Dave- they are all pretty shallow DOF - you need fairly open apertures to get the eye detail in these small wasps

Thought I had just posted a reply to this, so dunno if the site is playing up as I keep getting errors on viewing some of these pages, anywayyyyy

What I said was, they are a great set of shots of a very cute insect, BUT I also said, Brian, isnt #1 too dark?

Linda

Thanks for the comments all - much appreciated

Linda- ~1 was a bit tricky it was against a black BG and already the wasp has some blown highlights - I actually liked as it was but admit it's not the usual exposure.

Thanks Brian - actually, tonight I am viewing it from home (earlier from work) and it looks much better. I have just bought a new monitor so maybe I have been viewing stuff and thinking its darker than it was lol. Still tinkering with the new monitor as I am sure its a little on the bright side - #1 is nowhere near as dark as I first viewed it lol.

Linda
If it's a new LCD the brightness always seems way too high on the factory settings for me.

Lovely series Brian.

Great that you're still finding these. It seems the only spare time i get at the moment is when it's dark, or raining...

I know just how #3 feels...
