first one is a little blurry, it feels like a snapshot a little too much.

pay more attention to your composition. Both shots are slanted and unless thats the look you were going for, it makes them very "snap shot" ish. I know you had an idea in your mind what you wanted these pictures to look like. The trick is to slow down and look at the shot through the camera for a bit. Look at everything. Is there anything in the shot I dont want. Is the horizon (or appearant horizon) straight. Ask yourself how can I make the shot be what I see in my mind. Then move around look at different angles. Get down low, get up high.... If you go "oh cool wall" point and shoot, thats what you get 99% of the time. Which will almost always look like a snap shot.

I am not an expert by any means. I did a quick edit to the second one. I straightened it up, cropped out what I could to change the composition. Adjusted the levels and added a little contrast.
