Default Questionable pictures

Should this picture be offered posted with others on site for sale, the girls ask did I get shots of their lifts and they have bought them but I don't feel comfortable shooting these. I have not posted any of them to my site but sold on cd to them. I just don't get this certain type lift. Picture altered to protect the innocent.

Well your best bet would be to post the un editied shot so we can see how revealing it really is if it is.

Jimmy,

Shooting girl's and women's gymnastics frequently results in images that you or I might think are "inappropriate" but I usually leave this to the kids and the parents to decide. Most of the time, they are more concerned with their form.

That being said, and we can't tell 'cuz you altered this particular shot, some captures ARE inappropriate, but when you see one of these, it will be obvious. There won't be any cause to ask.

There is nothing showing, not revealing. The informs cover all very well. I will not usually even take this particular I feel like people in the stands are watching me with this big ol lens, well you get the drift.

Looks decent and respectable enough to me. I'm sure they design the uniforms to stop anything untoward anyway.

I was told that a local women's hockey team would only allow photographers with press credentials to shoot their games. The reason? One amateur photographer had posted "suggestive" photos of the girls, from their pre-game warmup, to the web. Now, some of these young women are very attractive and very photogenic. But while they may be good looking in their street clothes, in my opinion any sexiness and sensuality is lost once they don 30 pounds of hockey equipment (which, unlike the above photo, leaves everything to the imagination). Apparently, however, some local pervert thinks otherwise.

It all comes down to perception.

If you are giving or selling these images only to the kids, parents or teams, and doing so at their request, then the only perceptions you need worry about are theirs.

I personally cannot see anything 'inappropiate' in this shot. 'Honi Soit Qui Mal y Pense'!

That's not bad at all. There's nothing suggestive or provacative that I can see from that shot.

As a former college cheerleader myself, I see nothing wrong with the shot. If I had been the base (the one and only one holding the girl) I would have liked the shot. Kelly or Stacy would have like them as well. Photos like this are good for juding form. Nice heel stretch from what I can see.

EDIT: It is the practice shots that could be inappropriate (more revealing). Trust me on that!

If it was inappropriate for you to take the shot, it was inappropriate for the girls to be making the moves in the first place... As said above this is a standard cheerleading shot. I see nothing to worry about here. Why do you ask, is the more important question? Sounds like you aren't familiar with the sport and therefore don't know what is acceptable and what isn't.

Jimmy,

Here's my 2 cents: if you're uncomfortable with that shot, then chances are good that someone else will be uncomfortable with it also. You've probably got hundreds of other great shots (like the one you showed from a slightly different perspective)--post them, and delete the few that seem "questionable." It's just not worth the mental wear-and-tear--and, it would be terrible to possibly lose a future gig because of something like this. Like I said, just my humble opinion.....
