Default Learning About My New XT

Supernewb here. Not really a macro lens, 18-55, but it is what I have at the moment. Try not to kill me. These are the first pics that I made some effort on. Thanks!

Hi Moe, nice pics, nice and clear and certainly not worth bodily harm !
If you want an inexpensive way of getting into macro I suggest extension tubes. If it floats your boat then you can buy a dedicated macro lens later.

Thanks all! I'll be buying the Canon 50mm in a couple of weeks. I thought I would begin the learning process with inanimate objects before moving over to things that move.
