Hey all, very new to the whole photography scene and having a ball learning about it. Ive purchased a A570IS to start my adventure into the field. I really like the pictures it takes and very impressed with the ability to control the whole setup (ISO, Aperture, Shutter speeds etc etc).
My question has to do with the focus range of my macro shot when using my zoom lens. I know its a stupid question (actually, there are no stupid questions imo) but i cant seem to find any info on that. Do the same length apply for my lens in wide mode or telephoto (zoomed). Thanks for any help...really love the site, great info. |

On my SD700IS, it won't focus unless it's in the wide angle. To shoot macro, i have mine at the widest and the camera in the little flower icon mode.
Maybe they've changed with the newer cameras. I don't know. Macro enables the camera to focus up close.
