I really think these are amazing and the touch of humour on #4 is great. On another note, I didn't know they played hockey in the UK. Great shots.

Nice shots Scott. I've placed my hand in a protective posture more than once while playing hockey

It still hurts if you get hit but it's a lot easy to hold the ice pack in place.

Some great shots there, well done, I've always wanted to take some pictures when we go to the hockey games, but unfortunately our seat are usually up in the gods (really must convince the wife that I need that 100-400

)

oh and GO STEELERS!!!!!

Hmm a 100-400 just won't cut it to be honest for indoor ice hockey. It would be fine for static portrait stuff but for action it won't give you a high enough shutter speed to freeze the action.
