100% cotton wrapped in sewing thread soaked in lighter fluid.

Just be sure to keep your hands at the base and away from the top of the flame.

Old school "TAXI" cologne My brother and I would spray it all over our hands and then set them on fire. The cologne would burn but your hand wouldnt...... at first

Ryan, I just saw this on a site earlier today and unfortunately none of the 'comments' specified if anyone successfully did it or not (without needing skin grafts). I'm excited that it works because I have thoughts of some long exposure shots with them.

Excellent, will have to try it. Thanks for the info!

The 'recipe' I heard was a 2x5" piece of 100% cotton and 5' of sewing thread. Roll the cotton patch into a tight ball. Use a needle to put thread through the ball once - wrap thread tightly and then end with another pass through the center of the ball. Soak (but do not saturate) with lighter fluid.

Reminds me of a stunt I used to do by sticking my finger in a can of Sterno, then lighting it.......I was about 12-14 maybe, and I was given a chemistry set for Christmas....it had the Sterno in the set.
You just have to put the flame out when your finger gets warm.
Just remember ---it was a CHILDISH STUNT.- DO NOT ATTEMPT AT HOME.

hahaha.. I love how it's over the sink!! You coward :P

What also works is rubbing your hands/fingers with ice.. that allows you a few more seconds of handling time
