Default First Attempt At Instrument Shot - Piano

At one of my many trips to visit our new infant girl at the ICU, I decided to take shot of the piano that is in our hospital lobby. I have never really taken shots of instruments before, so C&C would be very welcome. I do alot of floral, insect, and other nature-related items, so this was a bit different for me.

Color, composition, dof, right on. This would be awesome large and framed in a music room. How is your baby doing? It is amazing to see how far medicine has come, but still it's a hard time for parents. God bless your family. GG

Thanks everyone! I would have loved to have had a few keys struck while shooting, but the piano is all pretty and polished and roped off.

We find out today whether the chest tube going through her rib to her lung can come out. They have clamped it overnight to see if the hole in her lung has closed off. Thank you for the kind thoughts, we have had one heck of a support network around us from work, church, and family!

I thought about getting a 20x30 of the piano, and a couple of other shots I have of chili peppers, then framing them and seeing whether I could sell them. This piano one might be a great picture for my daughter's band teacher's room. I believe I can get a poster made of this and placed into a black cheapie frame to match the decor in their band room for about $20.

Fantastic composition and perfect exposure. Excellent work. And good luck with the medical stuff.

I don't know exactly what that means, so this just means I really was lucky with this shot!

I just found out that Sams Club makes 20x30 posters for $11, guess I will be renewing my membership after all. There goes my Walmart/Sams Club ban, it lasted all of about 10 months.
