Fake 3D rumor

The specs are probably fake, but not the 3D itself. Rumors and guessing are all about having fun and annoying people who take themselves far too seriously.

I bet there will indeed be a 3D by October as the rumors suggest. Canon does not really have a choice in the matter of an answer to the D3. On the other hand, things are pretty chaotic with Canon appearing to be in panic mode right now. If the can't finish the brand new sensor in time, they might have to go with something else.

But since I like to hear myself talk, I;ll repeat what I said last month when this came around..
The 5D is everything that people were asking for in the "3D" .. that is it was up until the day the 5D was announced, at which point a full frame 12MP was suddenly not enough for the "3D" chasers of the questing beast, in days the "3D" suddenly needed weahter sealing and the 1D AF system.. but still it shoudl be less $ than the 1D?

The other reminder is that the 1D af system has never and likely will never be put in anything other than the 1D.
Many people still seem to think that the 1V AF system was put in the EOS 3, thus the source of the EOS 3D dream,.
But this is not true.
The 1V's AF system came from the EOS 3!!!! The EOS 3 predates the 1V.
That AF system has never seen another body other than a 1 series since.

First time I heard "3D" was right after the 1D announcement,,. I've not been able to find that thread, or even forum (might not have made it to POTN that time around) where I heard it, but it was the same story as today..

Wow that Camera sounds awesome, but $5,500.00? I wish they would make a more affordable option, better than the D30, but not quite as fast as the 1D.. etc.. etc.. etc..

In essence no matter what Canon makes, people will want to chose the bits and pieces from every model to suit there specific needs, underestimate the cost by @ least 50%, and dream about that perfect camera.. I don;'t know what the Noinkians call there mythical beast, but we call ours "3D".

If two high school geeks were to build the perfect dream Camera using there circa 1983 286 with 200 baud modem while wearing bras on there head, it would clearly be the 3D and Kelly Labrok would be holding it.
