Was used by the Canadian National Railway to monitor the bridge over the Lachine Canal but hasn't been used for a long time.

I might guess similar, except that I would swear I see evidence of a spiral stair
and careful stonework.
But I'm with the others in wanting to know...

rustyjaw: I really like your powerplant set. Is it in the US? Looks to be abandoned for a very short time.

Once a dairy barn, near as I can figure.
Note the living evidence of a sod roof:

Begun as a supporting venue for a local semi-professional ice hockey team,
this project collapsed due to sudden lack of funding. It was abandoned
when perhaps less than half-constructed; heavy equipment was even
left on the property.

Yes, there's an active shopping center adjacent to this place.
It was to have been a series of 'outlet' stores, but the failed arena has likely
contributed to the shops' decline. Only a few small shops are open, the majority
of the center is vacant, and the largest seems to be occupied by a church or other
faith-based organization.

6.

It's probably not too far gone to be revived as the project it began as, though I suspect
economic factors will conspire against it until it simply needs to be torn down.
The adjacent shopping will likely meet with a similar fate, eventually.

Hmm, I think this would be a great shot other than the lens distortion.

I shot this at an abandoned Power Station, not sure when it was last used.
Its approx. 6-7 stories tall and a really fun place to explore/photograph.

I used an off camera flash and torch to do the lighting.

30 Seconds.
F/7.1
ISO: 500
