Well, not much of global news interest here... but here are a few of the pics I've shot on my travels this last week or so.
Eye-watering stuff for starters... or are you just pleased to see me?... ![]() Fisheye boxing moment from Friday night... ![]() Good light today so time for 560mm thwunkage... ![]() Life's a beach... ![]() Hockey... can't get enough of it... ![]() Lynes powers his way to the title... ![]() Another team group from the Marshes. One day I'll post a thread with 'em all in... ![]() Some of the UK members may have heard of Havant & Waterlooville FC. Here's a pic from their last (very bizarre) match before their big FA Cup day out at Anfield. If you'd like to see some more pics of a very odd night in South Essex, feel free to let me know... ![]() Plenty more where these came from (unfortunately for you folks!)... full galleries here: http://pa.photoshelter.com/c/tgsphot...000NnnyEfOmgUk http://pa.photoshelter.com/c/tgsphot...000YqtVnmCUdwo http://pa.photoshelter.com/c/tgsphot...000wa_gUgtINBs http://pa.photoshelter.com/c/tgsphot...000uUPnBb4gYcQ http://pa.photoshelter.com/c/tgsphot...000n.SiCHUqeoo http://pa.photoshelter.com/c/tgsphot...000xjQb2ibnhwk http://pa.photoshelter.com/c/tgsphot...00023.7Iiyp9sM Cheers for peeking! ---- Gavin

Great stuff as always Gavin. #1 must have 'made an impact' - the picture and caption made me laugh.
I've been following the story about Havant & Waterlooville, so please do post up some more pictures, and let us know the details from the touchline! I know they ended up getting beaten by Liverpool, but they did put two past Liverpool in the process!! Cheers, Simon. |

Gavin, good stuff as usual...#1 makes me sit up and protect a little better. Liking the boxing, something haven't gotten to shoot yet.
Cheers, Mike

The story of the night at Thurrock starts here: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/spo...cle3239350.ece Of course, the floodlight failure rendered the potential appeal pointless! A bizarre twist given what had gone before. ---- Gavin

I said to myself as the first shot began to load, "Well, that's not quite the usual 'peak action' shot I'm used to seeing from Gavin..."
Then the rest of the shot loaded... Definitely peak action And even us hicks here in the states have been able to follow Havant & Waterlooville FC's recent journey. That's what the FA Cup is all about. Nice work as always and thank you for sharing. Regards, Jeff

Good colour on the last shot.
Great set of pictures. Re the story about Havant, they would have pulled a few bob from the game against Liverpool so that should keep them in the black for a year or two. |
