I took these a few months ago from the stands at the OSU vs ASU game. I'm just a student, so I couldn't get a pass to go down on the field. All were shot with my XTi and (former) 70-200 f/4. Some are somewhat blurry because I couldn't get a fast enough shutter with the f/4. Any input, C&C or suggestions is greatly appreciated! Also, which would be your 'favorite' and why? Sorry for posting so many pics, but I really cannot decide which ones I like the most.

I like your pics but as you already alluded to, the f/4 gave you a shutter speed that was too slow and resulted in motion blur. This keeps your nice images from being very nice images. If these were taken on a sunny day, you could have pulled it off but I'm guessing it was cloudy.
Nice action. Faster SS + adjusting the exposure/curve in PP could help us see the faces better. Was your ISO maxed out?

I'm mostly curious about the content of the shots, which do you think 'pop' the best, which are the best poses?

Always a thrill to be on the sidelines - best seat in the house, huh?
Here's my $0.02 - Shot #1 is nice (other than soft focus) but the crop of his feet is a little distracting to me. Maybe a tighter crop from waist up to emphasize his face/eyes/emotion would work a little better here. I like shots 2, 3, 5 and 6 okay but #8 (last one) would've been my favorite if it were in focus. It's got the intensity and action that encapsulates football for me. The dance into the end zone in photo #2 seems a little sharper then most of the others and it shows him skating across the goal line so I'd consider that pretty successful. And the only negative issue I see in #5 is that it doesn't place that play in context as well as it would have if you'd captured the ball too. It appears to be a pass/reception being blocked but the viewer can't be sure. So while you have a pretty good shot of the two combatants, without a little more surrounding perspective it might come across too isolated. Anway - it looks like it was a fun time and you've got great sense of timing on your trigger finger for the action, so you should keep doing it !!! I think all of them are successful for the action you captured. Better lighting is going to give you exactly what you're after on the next game you shoot. Oh yeah - Go Beavers!!! (Alma Mater)
