Default I *heart* cupcakes!
EDIT QUESTION:

Does anyone have any ideas why my pics all appear to be very soft, in need of much contrast, when I convert them from raw to tiffs (even when they're not overexposed!)? They seem to be hazey. I'm wondering if it might be my camera. Just thought someone might have an idea, if they've experience this before. Thanks!


I was in the middle of setting up the studio (hence the shadows and footprints!), when I got a volunteer model. She posed this way, completely unprompted, I assure you!

I was JUST KIDDING! I don't take cc to heart. I appreciate the feedback. I've actually just gotten my lights back up so I'm in the process of making adjustments. It's been a while since I've used them, so after I get the dust off of them, I hope to take better pics.

Cute. I don't find it that over exposed really, a little blacks back in the photo and you should be good to go, just looks a little washed out/flat IMO.

It may be a tad bright but I think mostly it needs some contrast.

LOL don't ALL girls dress themselves? I've shaken my head at my 4 yo at the outfits she's put together at times, and that she goes out in public like that too! LOL Oh well, part of growing up I reckon.

The edit is an improvement, maybe a bit too much for my personal taste.
This is what I'd do: USM 16, 30, 0. Levels: 5, 1.00, 255. That's it. Like I said, don't need much, the USM will add some contrast and make it sharper, but I felt it just needed a tad of Umph...so 5 on levels it was.
