Followed the instructions given in the S30 Software Starter Guide manual to the letter, that is, created a new 320x240 pixels JPEG file startup5.JPG (The file size is 14,739 Bytes or about 14KB), connected the camera to the PC, started Canon's DoomBrowserEX 3.3.1.31, then selected Setup Options and then My Camera, then Add new Startup-Image, but it did not accept this JPEG image with the error "Cannot copy Startup5: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect."
Any idea what went wrong? Thanks. James |

I might be wrong but I read somewhere that you can't change the picture on S30, it's a G2 only thing.

Nope, it works for the S30 too. Dunno how to help you otherwise though, mine transferred fine.
