Default Noise Ninja Question - stand alone or plug in?

Trying to decide which Noise Ninja version to go with. (stand alone or plug in)

A plug in for CS3 would be convienent most of the time, however being able to open NN up and use it as a stand alone would be handy on occasion as well.

My question is:
If I buy the Noise Ninja plug in for CS3, can it be used as a sand alone program as well? (separate from CS3)

Any pro or cons for buying it one way over the other?

Thanks for all you help!

I have the plug in and love it. As a plug in, you can batch process your photos, instead of doing one at a time. I downloaded the profiles for my 40D and they work great. I don't think I can use the plug in as a stand alone.

Hope this helps,

Ed

You can buy the plug-in for $35 or both the plug-in and stand-alone for $45, might as well spend the extra.

Anke, do you know if batch processing can be done in the stand-alone version? I don't have a need for CS-3 right now and would rather not buy it to support batch processing with a plug-in.

Or if the stand alone version gives you something the plug-in does not. I have the plug-in and love it.

Never actually had a reason to look into batch processing, but it does say it does on their website's homepage.

Plug-in is easier to use. You don't have to open another program and import the picture into it.

Thanks for all the info!

So according to madddman, the plug in can batch process? Can someone confirm this? I will need to batch process and if I can do it from the plug in that would be perfect!
