Default AH!! Business cards just arrived

I finally have some business cards to hand out. I went for something simple (please don't slate me for using the kit lens as part of the image).

Now it will be nice to actually see some paid work coming in. Got 100 Moo minicards printed to start. See how they work out.

Would like some feedback on the card design if possible.

I think the design is slick. I really like the overall layout of the card... black background with white/gray text is very classy.

My wife ordered me a set of Moo cards, generated from a sample set of 50 of my Flickr images. However, I found that several of the cards were not cut properly and had some white strips on the edges. Nothing that a little shave wouldn't fix. Did you experience that with your cards?

design does look slick indeed. no worries on the kit lens, colors match up and the feel is consistent. only real photogs will know thats a kit lens, most of your customers shouldnt =)

Well I was a bit nerdy about it all and spent about 3 hours trying to create the right size template which I found 600x240 to be great since it gave me a bit of play on the edges to shift the design about.

The orig was between

and

That was my EOS650 in the shot with my kit lens while I tried out my friends 50 f/1.8 for the first time. Didn't like the shot with the white dot bokeh so I just cloned it out.

If all goes well, I will def consider Moo again since the card size is just real swish.

EDIT : Moo.com have a Format Guide which I just came across - http://www.moo.com/format-guide

Thanks. I was bit wary since I see a lot more pro clean looking sites/cards all the time. I wanted something more diff.

The kit lens does represent something for me and hopefully others. It reminds me that even basic equipment can hit the spot if used right.

The one and only. Apart from the L series and the 50mm f/1.8, I cant think of any other lens which has been talked about over and over and over again. Why not get more people using the kit lens?

Is the second photo you showed the back of the card?
If not, is the only way for people to find your site is by google'ing your name?
