I'm sure somebody at some time has asked this question.
Does a CF memory card have a life span, or can the quality deteriorate?

They are static devices. I'm sure there is some MTBF data, but it's been my experience that they'll last for a very long time. I've only had one fail and Lexar replaced it under their lifetime guarantee.

I think they're generally stated at about 1,000,000 write/rewrites. So it's basically a non-issue.
