I'm in college and i'm tryin to get some extra cash on the side of my regular job. I was thinking of taking action shots at childrens soccer games and other such sporting events. It would be convenient because i have cousins and little sisters that play and that would be a good way of getting into it. My question is this, what could i realistically charge for close up action shots of players and other such action photos from games? also, what is a good site i can upload samples of the photos to in order for the parents to take a look at them and also order from so that i dont personally have to have all the images printed and shipped? I'm new to selling pictures, or even using photography as a way to make money, but its something i love to do so i figured if i could make extra money doing something fun it would be well worth it. I appreciate any advice, or help anyone can provide. thanks.

As far as lenses go, you will be hard pressed to get close up action with what you currently list as your inventory of equipment. Of course you can get great shots if they are right there in front of you but, soccer changes directions about as much as basketball. |

i'm aware of that, i'm planning on renting 100-400 IS L glass from a local rental place for shooting soccer until i can afford one. more than anything, i figure the shots i could do would be much better than shots the parents would be able to do with just regular digital cameras without zoom lenses and such. I know it wont take only an hour also, atleast i think its fun so the work isnt all that bad.

oh, i wasnt doing it for money, or anything like that. this was just experimentation. the picture of the girl above is my sister. i rented the lens for the weekend for other stuff so i figured i'd try it out in soccer, but i figured out that the lens doesnt work well with the 20D because i tried a number of setups and i havent been able to get a clear focused shot. thanks for the other ideas though, i appreciate it.
