Default Wireless controller for G9?

I recently upgraded to the Canon G9 from the G6. I have a WL-DC100 Wireless controller for the G6. Will it work for the G9? If not, is a wireless controller available for the G9?
Thanks in advance.

According to Canon's website, no, there isn't a remote device for the G9.

I'm still surprised no one has capitalized on the pinout for the USB port and created a wireless controller for the G7/G9. You'd think the profit would certainly be there.

There is one for most Nikon and Canons check out www.blip.com.au which allows remote triggering via r/c but does not allow RAW image shooting whilst using remote USB!!

If anyone finds a work around to allow RAW images during USB remote shutter please let me know.

Steve
