Default Violet-Green Swallows

These are the first swallows I've seen this year. Catching the fast moving birds in the air was pretty tough (low keeper rate). Fortunately some had landed in a nearby tree so they would sit still for a few shots.

WOW, those are great shots. I see them here at the canyon in the summer, and they fly so fast, no way to capture them! And they never sit on anything! You did well here with these...

Such a beautiful little swallow and I know how hard they are to get good shots of...you got some really nice ones -the 2nd and last one are my favourites!

Here is one more shot that makes it obvious why they are called violet-green swallows (purple rump. and green back), since the other shots didn't.
