Default First attempt at HDR

This is my first attempt at creating an HDR image. Let me know what you think.

I think it's a great photo. The colors speak about the mood of the day.
Nice Job.

Nice attempt, this doesn't look like an HDR, just how I like 'em

I really like the picture! thanks for sharing. The only thing that I noticed was the greenish spot in the water at the bottom. Other than that, good job!

Great job..i too like the fact that it odsn't ' look' like an HDR image.

Just out of curiosity, what HDR software did you use and tone map settings? I can never get the darn thing looking good!

Very nice, I like this a lot. Has a great "mood" to it, without being overdone.

Exactly, because 90% of the people around here think that an "HDR shot" should look like some horribly over-saturated painting with halos around everything.

This on the other hand is very well done! Refreshing to see it done so well actually, thanks for sharing.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.

This was made from 8 shots. 5D, ISO 50, f29, 24-85mm f3.5-4.5 @44mm, 1/2, 1/3, 1/5, 1/8, 1/13, 1/15, 1/20, 1/30. I used CS3 to merge the images and then adjusted the saturation and contrast.

I agree this is a great shot and a perfect example of what HDR should look like.

Would need to see the original to see how successful it really is though, ie see how much of a problem highlights and shadows caused.
