It’s important to choose a right location to stand with shadows in the background behind the subject. After taking the photo it’s all photoshop magic of turning the objects in the background shadow into black. CANONISED (aka Horolographer)

      | Dec 29, 2017 11:12 | #3034 Cheetahs are second most difficult big cat to shoot after leopards (which have to be kept in metal enclosures as they are capable of climbing over walls). They tend to hide themselves and the design of the enclosures makes it very challenging. But I take this as a personal challenge. I always want that one capture that will sit on my iPad as wallpaper. They have a very intense look and expression. CANONISED (aka Horolographer)

      | For some reason the meerkats in our Zoo were not reproducing. I suspect that their enclosure were too close to the big predators that made them far too nervous to reproduce! I say this because they moved a pregnant meerkat to another enclosure far from all the predatorial animals. Seems to be doing well. Looking forward to their arrival! CANONISED (aka Horolographer)
