ST-E2 vs. Pocket Wizards low light focusing

ok so I've done my research and know the basic differences between the two. IR vs radio etc. What I couldn't find information on is whether the PWs actually help with low light focusing as the ST-E2 does. Anyone?

PWs have no impact on low-light focusing... they emit no red AF assist beams.
