Taken at East Point Lighthouse, still kind of new to the G9, but I love it for small trips instead of lugging around a pricey 5D and lenses.

I shot this through a telescope lens. Just held the camera up to the eye cup on the telescope. The autofocus worked perfectly.

The Lightning was on night scene and open for 10 seconds as a storm was heading towards us, I had changed the white balance to Tungsten, I did zoom in a little so as not to grab our porch.

See it in flickr

Thanks for the comments and questions, that helps me and all!

The rest are all ISO 400 hand-held!

Cheers!

It isn't I took all those shots with the camera pressed up against my face with the screen off and looking through the absolutely pathetic optical viewfinder Also had to ensure the bright-green AF assist light was off!

It always amuses me when I see camera flashes going off in places like the Albert Hall ... not only does it immediately tell every one in the hall that you're using your camera, but the resulting image will consist of a few rows of brightly lit heads in front of you, and a very very dim stage
