Thanks Michael, sorry to hear about the zoo, hope all the critters were okay. Whenever I go to our zoo, seems everybody is lazing around or sleeping under cover somewhere, it's so hot! Try again, and post for sure!
Oal, there is an Arizona meet up section around this forum somewhere and at times someone organizes something. Nice to meet you! Post pics of Oro Valley! Short5, great calender shot! Beautiful. The G9 never fails to amaze me, what people get out of it.

Thanks for the info Zane,
I thought you might have used a 580 or something similar as fill flash. But, as you say, I think the on board flash of the G9 in this situation has made no difference at all.

Great job Alberto! I like Hace 40 aņos que nadie golpea the best; simple, lots of texture and nice colors.
Doesn't G9 make a great travel companion? Welcome aboard the forum too, keep sharing as you get new ones in; take more pictures with that thing! LOL! Join us over on the weekly challenges too, love to see new faces there.

Nice shot! Love the glacier in the background, such power to move anything in it's way.

Nice Randall! You must have been having fun with this week's challenge.
What angle is the light source coming from?

Thank you Picbug,
I had a lot of fun learning this week. I did change my submission to "Checkmate?" and decided to change it back. I think the statue is a better sample of my understanding of lowkey. The lighting is natural sunlight coming through the window. The angle is a little misleading. the light source is back right and reflected throu the glass pieces. you can see the rest of my, week of learning, shots here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/2900550...7606402694756/ let me know what you think.
