How is the AF on this lens? I'm considering either this or the Canon 10-22, I like the fixed f/2.8 (will be using it in low light when out with friends) but at the same time I like the fact that the Canon has USM....

The focus is great I think. On uwa like this it's almost always at infinity anyway unless your shooting really close. The 2.8 is awesome too. Get it and you will love it!

Is it noticeably slower than having USM? Worried that I've been spoiled by the AF on my 24-105 and won't be used to not having it, lol. Also, what about its accuracy/speed in low light conditions?

you have to remember DOF is much wider as the focal length goes down. basically you barely need to focus in the first place.

for example at 11mm and wide open, your hyperfocal is about 8'.

stop down to f/8 and it drops to under 3'.

Wow...indeed. Hardly justifies buying used at the going rate I see on the sell forum.
