Default Auckland, New Zealand

Feeling a little home sick today, so thought I'd look over my most recent photos from a 12 day trip I made in February this year...
Combination of 1DIII, Sigma 12-24, 17-40L and 24-105L and Cokin Grad ND filters

Flying in over Auckland from Sydney - if it was a weekend, the harbour would have been full of yachts - 24-105

Muriwai - West Auckland - Surf Beach - 24-105 I think

Maori Bay (South End of Muriwai)

Gannet Colony over Muriwai - Sigma 12-24mm

Looking South over Maori Bay and the rough weather approaching - 12-24mm

The following day again at Muriwai - managed to get quite wet shooting this one (and forgot to edit out the dust spots)

Karekare - long shutter speed, Sigma 12-24 again
During a small POTN meet up with friends back home

Reminiscent of my departure, as Queen Elizabeth II, cruise ship leaves the Princes Wharf

Love the Karekare shot, but they're all very nice.

Thanks for the comments
I love the gannets too, and how nature interacts with the rugged coastline

Excellent all of them. Good display of how and when to use filters

I love #4. The composition and processing just come together perfectly.

Great set! Those long exposures worked perfectly. Did you use a ND Grad filter?

First sentence of his first post says he did

It's easy to miss what he said amongst such great photos though, isn't it?
