Default My son..

Ok....this is my first time actually posting a pic. I am just a mere newbie with VERY LITTLE experience with SLR. I took some a while ago, and something about this picture just catches my eye. I cropped it so he is off center but I wanted to catch the bubbles. Something tells me it is to dark and needs some lightening up, but it might just be my 5-year-old monitor. He loves that shirt..says *Save Gas, toot in a jar*..he has laughed each time he puts it on..LOL

I think it's a great way to show the bubbles "drifting up and away". Maybe burn the background a bit to pull the attention to the subject or maybe add some lens blur to it as well...kind of a busy background.

I think you've caught it pretty well. Maybe if you'd used a wider aperture you could have taken the backgrount out a bit more, but it's my no means bad. Exposure looks spot on to me on my monitor. I like it.

cheers

I should have changed the aperture. He was moving so fact and I was trying so hard to do do a manual focus and I forgot to adjust the aperture. I can't find out how to burn the background in my book. Off to search the web.

I tweaked it just a tad...then did this...you have to bear with me as SLR is new to me and Elements 6 is even newer...
this is a new one I messed with and took them both a step further. I did learn to blur the background, but only managed to do it with using the quick select tool, and circling what I wanted to keep and inverting and then blur and remove color. I seem to get a halo effect so I know I am doing it wrong, but I guess I got years ahead of me to practice.

and the original one
