Default More from Death Valley

I spent a few hours editting my Death Valley pictures. Here are some of the ones I liked best.

This is the highway from Furnace Springs to Badwater. I was hesitant to take a cliche photo of a long dessert highway streching into the distance, but I thought this one was special because the highway is actually brighter than the land around it. Also, this was taken with my canon 50mm f/1.8. Anytime I can find an excuse to use that lens I have to take a photo.

Here is a Raven standing on the Devil's Golf Course. I had the entire national park to myself, and this Raven landed right next to me while I was taking pictures of the famous Devil's Golf Course. Raven's are the coolest birds. I just read "Mind of the Raven" a few months ago so I was really excited that this guy decided to stop in for a visit. Don't tell the rangers I gave him a piece of jerky.

These are the Mesquite Dunes. I stayed at a little motel right across the highway from these dunes. Two days in a row I got up before sunrise and hiked out in the dunes looking for a good spot to take a photo. This is just one of a hundred dune photos I took.

Hope you enjoy

Dave

Beautiful shots. That's one long stretch of blacktop, looks like it goes on forever.
