Default A few more unpublished racing shots.

I am in the middle of my end of season filing, where I catagorise all my shots and cross-reference them for future use. I still keep finding shots that have something interesting about them, which is not surprising considering the number I have taken this past year. Here are four from over the year that have never seen the light of day until now.

The Renault Spider was one of the rarest sports cars in its day and turned heads as much as a Ferrari. This particular car races regularly and is seen here being chased by an Integra and an Escort Cosworth in the Northern Saloon Car and Sports Car Championship.

.

Sometimes, a rear view can have the right look/feel and this one is from the same race as the above and shows a well turned out MG ZR in full MG livery.

.

This one is of a Formula Renault, taken in torrential rain with the camera three foot of the ground. Conditions like this may not please the drivers too much, but they make for interesting shots.

.

Lastly, for the fans of vintage cars, this Lagonda shot was taken with my 300 2.8IS and x2.0 TC. The detail on the full size version is simply amazing, as are other shots taken with the same combination at that meeting. Note the fluid dropping from underneath the front.

.

My very last comment in this post - I would like to congratulate Cadwell for getting some of his work into one of the magazines I regularly contribute to. Nice one!

Kenny, I'm not a motorsports fan at all - but I always enjoying viewing your pictures. I hope 2005 is as productive as 2004 for you.

Looks like the integra came into the corner a little too hard and locked up a front wheel.

Nice shots! That's the kind of photography I'm trying to get into.

Great shots Ken, the Spider is a great looking car, there used to be another one raced by Graham Saul but I haven't seen it for a while. One of the great things about the Northern sports and saloons is the variety of cars that are raced

Cheers
Ian

Lovely shots as always Ken I don't recall seeing a Renault Spider on the track before. He obviously doesn't run down south at all. We do have an Ariel Atom that buzzes round in one of the open championships. Does he get up your way at all?

Oh, and thanks

This is one of the last shots I have of him Ian. He ran the Spider website but I never managed to find it up-and-running. These are without a doubt very rare and it surprised me to see two in one race. See you on Tuesday no doubt?

That's the one, just been having a look through and found this one, it's David Hoyle he has ran in the NSSCC a couple of times

It just goes to show the quality that the NSSCC attracts

Cheers

Nice little cars, same engine as the original Clio Williams, I believe.

Do they still run they're own series ?

Gary.

Unfortunately no. Like a lot of one make series the grids just dwindled down to a point where it wasn't worth continuing. But, championships like the Northern Saloons and Sports Cars, Britsports, Britcar, etc. have found a home for a lot of these types of cars.
