Guidelines on posting images

Please keep image size under 800 pixels (wide+high). This will ensure that most viewers will see whole photos, and that all will get them without delay. Not all have 21"" monitors and cable net connections.

Also, please avoid posting lots of images per post. If you need to show more present a link to your own gallery instead if using this forum as your gallery. If you post several images in one post, number them so commenting will be easier.

Be sure your post title includes some description of image content.

Try write something about the images: story, what camera, what settings, circumstances, lighting... something.

Be aware that many people view this forum at work or at home with young children. Always post a warning such as (nude) or (violent) in the thread title if your images may contain subject matter that could be deemed objectionable.

Please do not post the same image in multiple forums or in multiple posts. The end result will most likely be one of the threads being deleted by a moderator.

Be considerate of the fact that many do not have high speed connections or do not wish to view an entire gallery here on the forum.

Attachements

New forum system was introduced December 12th, 2004. New stuff now is attachements. You can attach two images per post and those will be shown "embedded" (as images and not as links). The files need to be uploaded (form is provided as you post) to this server. By posting attached images you give us a permission to host the images and display them. Upload only material which is you own copyright.

Please use the attachment feature only when you do not have your own server or gallery space to link images from. The images are stored on photography-on-the.net hard disks and the space is limited - we may delete attachments if space gets low (not likely in near future). At the moment we have 100KB per image filesize limit (100000 bytes) per jpg image.

PS. Good thing about attachments is that they will remain here even if your gallery service is down or closed.
