Hi russ any chance you could post a couple of 100% crop pics as interested in this lens as cheap to rent . Just interested how crop compares to a 300 f2.8 .
As other lens is alot more to rent understandabley but the 400 just might do me proud.
Cheers shane

The what the wet shots dont quite show is how windy it was, think i might get a monopod for condtions like that. The back end of Donington is a big hill was my first visit.

As the 100% crop the 400 f5.6 is a cracking lens.

Shot in raw converted to j-peg with no sharpening applied.

The full size j-peg un-resized canbe downloaded from here to view 100%

3 - 4 - 6 are stunning but i was wondering, do you have a media pass for the circuit or the pics has been taken from public places?

Absolutely fantastic!! I like the scuff marks on 21 in # 2. ... I've seen guys go down before, and it's always scary. Simply great shots!!

All from public locations, i havent been able to gain media access yet

It is always a heart in your mouth moment when the riders go down, more so when you get to know some of them in person.

"... heart in your mouth moment ..." is the perfect description. It can happen so quickly, and your heart is "in your mouth" if the tumble is a violent one or if the rider gets tangled with the bike.

Once again, your shots are fantastic.
