Default Old vs New London

So I tool a trip down Portobello Market and came across a variation of old and new things which make it such a nice place to visit once in a while.

#1 - Nothing special, just more of a snapshot while waiting for a book

#2 - British Airways show their age

#3 - Row of Vespa's

#4 -British Flags flying high outside a Army Surplus stor

#5 - Looking for a sign

#6

#7

#8 - Im not sure if this is accurate but it made me chuckle

Thanks. There were loads outside the shop. Shop was found on Portobello Road. Nice to walkabout but a real long road.

Thank you. I might try one more around the Camden area since that has lots of interesting things always going on.

Thanks marie.

I would like to go back on a Saturday, mix this all in with some candids but have a sneaky feeling it might loose the feel of "retroness"

it might be too crowded that day especially with the Summer days here... in theory anyway lol
..but, nothing to lose. you'll enjoy and have a great time anyway 'reviewing the situation' for future trips
the suitcase handle is lovely. shows the old leather type used years ago
and the worn small flags look good in that light
also the shot of the sunglasses, like someone is having a lazy look around and took them off for a few seconds

its was the funny 'signs' shots caught my eye at first
lol

Cheers Dave. I was very reserved with my shooting so I ended up with virtually all of them as keepers. These were my favourites.

Can't wait for Sunday also, Ill prob snip people in the group but I rarely snipe people. Maybe officers

Im more for the buildings/objects. Need to work on my landscaping a bit more, really put the 5D through its paces.

Haha, Officers, good idea

Yeah I am definately a fan of objects/buildings, but some of the people shots on here have blown me away! Should be able to find plenty of both!

Good choice. I might just think about the 70-200 to start with.
