Default Question about emailing to hotmail clients

Just started my first website the other day with and Im having trouble sending emails to hotmail accounts. They wont send at all only if I reply to an email from a hotmail.

Has anyone else had this problem an how do I fix it.

70% of my clients would have a hotmail account.

Tim

When you say trouble sending to them. Do you mean the email comes back and wont go to any hotmail account or does the email end up in their spam filter and they don't see it? Also why is your website important. Is this a new email address you have? 70% of your clients have hotmail? gezzz I thought people just used Hotmail for throw away address.

If you could be more specific and maybe post a screen capture of the error (if there's an error msg)... I might be able to help you out.

Let me take a stab in the dark though - are you using Outlook (or Outlook Express) through a POP account and the email just gets stuck in your outbox?

Yes..I have the same problem. I have replied or even sent emails to hotmail clients and all came back as undeliverable, mailbox or account does not exist. Only one person has a hotmail account that works. I called my internet provider on it and they said the problem is hotmail. It is hit and miss with them. So I ask my clients who have hotmail addresses to get one with gmail or some other type...

Seriously? That is not a reasonable solution. I am sure they run out and immediately create a new email account because you have issues sending email.

Personally, I would move on to the next "company" on the list. I wonder how many "clients" you are losing. Effective communication is key.
