LOL, great capture.

Hey I'm curious, did you know that person, or did she do that as you took her photo?

Yes, I know her very well... she is normally a bit shy, and because I had been taking photos of her all day, she pulled a face just as we were about to get back in the car. I took that one handed with the 10D without even looking through the viewfinder, just glad the AF worked :)

So I can't really take credit for any of it... was just a reflex.

Absolutely, sounds like a very lucky shot... it's straight and everything.

I was asking becuase, if it was a stranger and she did that, it would have indicated a nutty personality to do that when a stranger was taking her pic... anyway cool shot. cya

She's cute...

Oh I agree, just think she would have had to be even crazier to do that if you didn't know her.

What setup was this shot with? THe only thing I was thinking is the colors and saturation don't seem very vibrant.

Still getting the hang of the photoshop thing. I'm pretty sure the levels / saturation on most of these is stuffed. I am also wondering if I should be setting the temperature different for shooting at the beach (currently 5200), or is it just WB thats out?

TIA

If you are shooting with the 20D, you can rely pretty well on AWB most of the time. If not, I recommend this tool VERY highly. It never lets me down.

I know about the expodisc, coffee filters, pringles lids, etc. I recommend this instead. Also, I don't recommend using Levels in PS. Check out Curves instead. You can manipulate at a much finer level. Check out Scott Kelby's book for digital photographers. Also, see the magazine Digital Photo Pro and their article on curves from 2-3 issues back. Great stuff.

As for your images, they are lovely. The girl is very attractive and I hope you will continue to photograph and post her. She's quite a beauty. I hope she appreciates your work. I also really, really like the shot of performance art or dance with the three girls. Looks very interesting.

I want to see more of your work.
