Default Has anyone ever tried...

...to make a full 360x360 degree panorama? In other words, capture all the surroundings and make it into one huge image? I am talking about including the ground too.

I have an idea to make a stand for my camera to accomplish this.

Check this out. She does some really incredible stitching. Search the forum for her posts to see many others. Also take a look at her website.

Try googling "homemade pano head" or "diy pano". I recently saw a whole tutorial about making one using plywood and Home Depot type materials.

The Panorama Factory: Distortion correction, virtual tours

Using PTAssembler: it will output a variety of TIFF files. there is a tutorial available at http://www.tawbaware.com/ptasmblr_tutorial.htm. I think the current price is $20 with unlimited upgrades

pano question

This doesn't seem too hard to make, but you will probably want to use heavier material.
Home made pano bracket

Where to get extra wide prints done for panoramas?
