Odd craigslist ad

So I'm looking around craigslist to find some extra cash for the summer when I come across this ad:

Stealh Photographer Wanted.
I am looking for some photos of two addresses. One is a house, the other is an office. I am also looking for some paparazzi / private eye style photos or video of the owner of the house and businesses.

This shoot could take 30 minutes or several hours depending on the subject. I would like to have about 20-30 different photos and will want a full copyright release granted to me for use of the photos. Email me if interested. Payment will be upon completion of the photos via PayPal.

He's paying 200$. I'm kinda tempted to take him up on it, but I would feel too weird.

I've seen a similar ad here on CL. Some guy wants someone to follow him and his date around and Pap him. Doesn't pass the sniff test for me.

Sounds like they are looking for cheap (or rather inexpensive) detective work! LOL

I wouldn't get involved if I were you..... sounds suspicious to me. I can think of 4 possible scenarios:

1) As Kimmie suggested it could be some cheapo detective work. You wanna' play cops and robbers?
2) The fellow wants pap/pj photo work done for a gift maybe, or just some self-promotion.... nothing wrong with that except it doesn't excite me.
3) He's trying to blackmail somebody - nasty business & a real good way to get yoursefl hurt or worse. Or,
4) He is totally misrepresenting himself - lying - and intends a difference purpose for the photos. I also like Ronald's suggestion of grass cutting. It's honest work and you'll get some good exercise. - Stu

I hear you - thank goodness for antihistamines and nose drops . I've got a good sized yard that can't be ignored. I like the idea of working as an assistant. There's always the potential to learn a great deal when somebody can be a mentor or a generous teacher. Good luck and hope it works out for you. - Stu
