Cool shots! You are right, there is something about old rusty equipment that looks really appealing to the eye...can't really say what it is, but it's there for sure.

Thanks Dimitry for the comments. One thing for sure is that you don't have to travel to far to find old rusted out machinery I took a few more of the gate valves and I was thinking of playing around with them in B&W or sepia to see how they'd look

Great Shots. No snow out there either I guess. The water over the dam looks great.

Where exactly is that place? Perhaps I could visit it someday, it seems like a lovely place.

The photos are excellent!

I like #3 the best! Like you I love seeing old equipment. Is the dam no longer in use?

No longer in use as a hdryo dam, there was/is talk about making it a power supply again, but there is considerable cost involved plus they would be required to build a fish ladder. So I doubt it will happen anytime soon.

Very nice seamless stitch job on Photo #1, Sandy. Feels like I'm standing right there. Have you ever posted any of the other old equipment around the Collins Co? Lots of cool stuff around. You could stay right in town for years and not run out of great shots.

Beautifully done, Sandy.

Some find this sort of thing to be an eyesore, but if there is any beauty to it at all, you've certainly captured it.

Thanks Tom; I think this is why we take pictures, to show people a different way of looking at things, and if you look hard enough you can find beauty in anything, course you can make it work the other way also. Just look at some of your newspaper photography They seem to find a way to highlight the ugly.
