I posted some shots on prior pages around the house.

I just did some product shots in the studio tonight and they turned out absolutely incredible, I wish I could post them, sigh.

OK, well, you may or may not know I have both the 50L and the EX 50 Sigma, I was hoping the Siggie would replace my 50L so I could move the L and spend some of the difference on a 24L or a new body or whatever.
In the end, the L wins for me, 1.2 just gives me the "pop" I want. 1.4 just isn't the same. If I was choosing between the Sigma and the EF 50/1.4 I'd be all over the Sigma with no reservations, IMO......it smokes the EF 50/1.4 in sharpness wide open (at least the EF 50/1.4 I had )
The build is much better too, just overall worth the extra $175 I think. AF is perfect on 1.6 crop and FF and decently fast (fast enough) and color and contrast are fine too. Overall....a winner in my book, just as long as it's not competuing against the L:)

So....Back to Adorama it goes....

You change your mind? I noticed your 50L for sale...

I still prefer shots from the 50L....IMHO....

No. Not yet. I'm actually about to go out and try some street photography with it to give it a real world work out. In the end, I doubt I'll send it back. I posted some sharpness tests - it's still on hte front page of this forum - and it does pretty well. the AF is "adequate" at this point, but I'll know more after today.
