Default What about Douglas Leighton

I was cruising through Douglas Leighton's coffee table sized photo book of the Rocky Mountains, and wondering what he shoots. Does he shoot large format or medium format for those awesome landscapes of the mountains?
Canon 5D Mark II gripped with a 24-70L and that's how I roll :]<
